KSA Membership Contacts & Information

As a member of the Knoxville Songwriters Association you will enjoy:
  • Networking with others who have the same interests.
  • Workshops and Seminars at no charge to members. Four times per year we have someone who is associated with the music industry conduct a workshop/seminar for members.
  • Monthly newsletter, The KSA Songwriter with news and updates beneficial to the membership. Informative articles about the craft of songwriting. Also includes periodic articles and personal observations about songwriting written by members. All members are encouraged to participate in the content of the newsletter by submitting their thoughts and opinions for publication. The KSA Songwriter e-copy also goes out to artists and industry people on a limited basis.
  • Performing members occasionally have special opportunities to be a part of a songwriter showcase at various local establishments, and occasionally in Nashville, where members can perform their own songs or do covers of other's songs. These showcases are a great way to get over stage fright and develop a stage personality.
  • Song critiques by other members. We critique songs at all regular meetings. Songs submitted by members with lyric sheets to pass out to those present are listened to and evaluated by other members. You can do a live performance, A capella, and/or accompany yourself on a musical instrument. Or you can play a CD or tape with your song. This is a good way to get a "free" and outside opinion of your song without going to one of the “pay to play” outfits that charge for a similar review of your material.
